Image-Indiana > On a trip to St. Louis, Missouri, we stopped along the highway to capture photographs of an approaching thunderstorm. The midwest section of the USA is known for tornadoes, and we were worried that this storm might include some. We were lucky as that little hole of blue in the sky seemed to follow us the whole way down Interstate 70.
Image-Indiana > On our return trip from St. Louis, we stopped at Effingham, Illinois and took a few pictures at the Crossroads cross. This monument stands about 197 feet tall--just short enough to be below the requirements to not interfere with airplanes and therefore it does not need a red blinking light on top.

Regardless of your religious beliefs, the sight of this as you come around a small bend in the highway is breathtaking.
Image-Indiana > Our first picture upon returning to the United States, was at O'Hare Airport in Chicago, Illinois. There is a large model of a dinosaur skeleton.
Image-Indiana > On our way back to Indiana, we missed our connection in Toronto Canada, and had the chance to go downtown and see the CN Tower.

I did not have my shirt on that day, but it was with us in spirit. I was reminded of our visit to the CCC tower in northwest Beijing.

Image-Indiana > We left Stonehenge and visited Old Sarum Castle the same day. The city in the distance is Salisbury.
Image-Indiana > A trip to England would not be complete without seeing Stonehenge.

The mystery of why and how the local people built this structure thousands of years ago will likely never be solved.

Image-Indiana > There is an amazing egg-shaped skyscraper (a very, very tall building) in London. We took the Underground and walked to find the building.

Locals call this building "the Gherkin" which we think is a reference to a pickle.
